A few quick comic strips for shits and giggles, Usually reserve these for my Tumblr cause I barely spend any time making them, but eh...Some of them are A-OK bro!

Lily
I can never get that painterly-feel on anything I do. Give up on this one for now. Maybe it's too saturated?

Old as dirt: Portrait on OpenCanvas
This is kind of old. 2006 ish or very early 2007. First time I was messing with OpenCanvas (Which I believe it has been replaced by Sai?) Anyway, it's very rough, but unlike the other old stuff, I dont think I want to remake this ever. It has issues of course, but I think it's fine by itself as it is. Uhhh anyway, I'll be posting several newer things this week, havent been able to scan/post anything I'm comfortable with.

It shouldnt be here: Chronicles of a Drunken Bastard
I neglected posting this old and horrible thing here, and saved it for the tumblr account cause well...it's tumblr. But eh, might as well get it out of the way. I drew this waaaay back when I had no idea how comics worked, and was overall a worst artist than I am now. I got some decent feedback though, and I might revisit and extend this into its own book. One day...one day >.>

On the Fear of Failure
Thought this was a very inspiring and insightful observation, that every aspiring artist should take note of.

Superman!!...That--That's not him...
I was supposed to draw myself as Superman. I didnt want to do the same old thing, so I used the variant costume by Ming Doyle, you can see it here. I wanted to keep working on this, but I screwed up my file and all my layers are gone, so...stash it as a sketch.

Nightly practice + failure
Dead tired from mid-terms week, but I really wanted to do some practice, so here's two quick 15 min each life studies and a failed painting.
I'm throwing this on the failed pile, cause I did exactly what I preach to other people in my class not to do: Focus on one thing only, instead of blocking and working the painting at once. I spent the whole hour time limit rendering and working on the face (which doesnt even look remotely like the source image anymore) instead of working on light, background/foreground, etc. So I learned my lesson, ffffffffuuuuuu----

Portrait quickie
I lost track of time, but probably around an hour and a half? I definitely need to work on my speed, but I like how this turned out so far.
