Princess Zelda sketch

I’m going through a Zelda high. Beware.

But yea…I lost my rush with this one. Oh well, time to move on.

Mermaid WIP #1

Work in progress #1 (or #3, technically, I lost track) It's a mermaid character! threw some flat lines and colors on it. Gonna jump on something else for now. Like watching Transformers 3 on Netflix and banging myself in the head on how awful it is.

To be continued...

Sketches + thumbs galore

Planning out an illustration of the Octo-Samurai dude and his partner doing what they do best, robbing banks. Here are a few sketches, throwing ideas on what I wanted to do. It's going to be similar to thumb #3, except a little more dynamic, and probably more 'on-your-face' kind of view.

Concept character #3

A WIP for a character that’s the traveling companion of the Octo-Samurai I posted before. Still working on it, so I’m aware of some of the anatomical issues, and it needs polishing, tattoos, etc.
A chick with a machine gun, not cliche at all.

Jade Jaguar scene roughs

A scene for a short I'm working on. This is pretty rough, still trying to get the timing and other stuff I can fix while I'm in the early stages

Pin up - WIP

So I was hell-bent on putting this in my mid-review portfolio, unfortunately I started it a day before, so that bites. I will finish this eventually, but I'm having a few issues, specifically the ones marked with red circles.

Right now she's looking a little chunky, the tattoos look "placed" and dont follow the skin values, the hair looks weird, and the face and car are unfinished.

EDIT: After examining this closely, I caught another issue with the face: There are no value ranges. I'm almost considering scrapping this and starting over =/

life painting WIP

So I usually give myself 15-30 minutes to do life paintings so I can get faster, and get said economizing brush strokes, so I never really blend, which was something that was pointed out to me about the post below this one.

I started this one today, and worked on it bits in between my actual class project. I'm not going to give myself a time limit or anything, just gonna try to get as much done "right" on this one. So here's the WIP, so far. Yea, totally looks like a guy right now =/

sketching + another Batman WIP

More sketching. Yay

I tried doing one of those film studies I've seen other people do. I would say, this pretty much counts as failure. I rushed it, there's so many mistakes that I see now, but I think I'll learn from this and make the next one better.

A zelda WIP for a drawing jam at CGHub, I might not make it though, deadline in two days.

Probably the last WIP before the final is done. The deadline is also pretty soon.

March Challenge WIP #3

Pretty frustrated now. I can't seem to keep control of my lines, and I feel the replacement pose for the "chatty katty" part is bland and not very appealing.

Batman WIP 2

About 35% done I'd say. After I'm done drawing Batman, tweeking things that arent working, I'll go through clean up, and then lip sync. I feel like the Youtube player literally eats up certain frames or something. It doesnt skip on the regular video file :/
