Anatomy study - back

Or the alternate title - "Strong, independent woman will break you"

A more developed version of the speed painting I was working on in this video. All in all, I'm pleased with Photoshop CS6 so far, painting wise. I'll keep poking around to see what else I can find on it.

Speed painting - Photoshop CS6 trial test

First time recording myself on a quick sketch, so hope this works. No sound, so play something in the background before you get bored.

I downloaded the Photoshop CS6 beta and tried it out. 90% of the time I only use PS for painting, so I tried out the new brushes, and while I can’t say that custom brushes are not necessary, it is coming close to that. I mainly stuck with the hard round brush and a textured paint brush. I can positively say it’s leagues away from CS5 in terms of digital painting.

My one grip was with the pencil-textured brushes. Some of them weren’t as responsive or useful as I would hope, but that’s fine, there’s plenty of those on the web to grab.

Retro pin up

After a year of having the WIP around for almost a year, I decided to go back and work it out and get it over with. The concept and technique changed way too much, it doesnt even look like the model anymore. But overall I’m kind of pleased at how it turned out.

Though it could use some tentacles here and there o_o

more Mermaid and random doodles

Speed sketch/paint of the Witch from the Little Mermaid tale. Different painting style than what I normally do.

A speed paint of a floating head. Just because. I was killing time, playing with an iPad >_>…
