Originally made for the 11 Second Club, though it may or may not make it for being a copyrighted character (not reading the rules suck) But now that I'm done I guess I can go back to sketching and finishing a few illustrations and starting on my book (that sounds soooo professional)

Also, Adobe Flash...you and me, never again buddy. I'm jumping on the Toon Boom wagon.

What the hell, Cartoon Network?!

I dont usually like posting random stuff here, but I think this deserves some attention. So Cartoon Network has decided not to renew one of my favorite shows, Sym-Bionic Titan. Apparently an insider at CN said this:

"Genddy's moved on to Sony Pictures Animation. Titan got competitive ratings with other action shows, but what shut it down was it didn't have enough toys connected to it. If you don't have the, the studios don't want to renew for another season."

Fantastic. I read the list of new shows coming in here, some are decent, others are just so goddamn awful. From what I've read around online, they moved the show from its original Friday slot so Adult Swim could expand and show more Family Guy. Cause that's exactly what we need, more Family Guy. It's like the treatment that Firefly got from Fox, never gave them enough of a spotlight, and kept moving it around without warning. I feel the show would've probably done better in the Adult Swim block maybe? I mean, who said that cartoons for adults all have to be comedy (mostly terrible comedy nowadays)

Anyway, I dont know if these things work, they usually dont, but there's a facebook group trying to save the show and an online petition. Again, these things never work, but I guess it can't hurt to try?

I tried doing one of those film studies I've seen other people do. I would say, this pretty much counts as failure. I rushed it, there's so many mistakes that I see now, but I think I'll learn from this and make the next one better.

A zelda WIP for a drawing jam at CGHub, I might not make it though, deadline in two days.



Probably the last WIP before the final is done. The deadline is also pretty soon.

March Challenge WIP #3

Pretty frustrated now. I can't seem to keep control of my lines, and I feel the replacement pose for the "chatty katty" part is bland and not very appealing.

I'm extremely frustrated with my current animation. I feel like I'm making some pretty newbie-ish mistakes, and Flash doesnt help. Once I'm done with it, I'm switching to TVPaint >:[ I'll tackle it tomorrow, in the meantime, this made my day.

There's something really cool about drawing with a pen. It kinda forces you to try and get it right the first time.

Batman WIP 2

About 35% done I'd say. After I'm done drawing Batman, tweeking things that arent working, I'll go through clean up, and then lip sync. I feel like the Youtube player literally eats up certain frames or something. It doesnt skip on the regular video file :/

Just practicing my rendering time and values. The ears seem off, ugh. It takes longer, but I feel I have more control of painting when I start with grayscale. I'll color test this later.

11 Second Club March Challenge update

I'm working on the challenge for March. Blocked my major poses and some inbetweening. though I feel youtube kinda messed it up. the timing doesnt look right, some frames seem missing. oh well.
